is it possible to double tap the screen to turn it off?(the opposite of tap to wake the screen)

I had a Samsung or LG phone that allowed this... very convenient.... just wondering if iPads can do this?

thanks!

Why not use the double tap on the back of the phone…

Settings > Accessibility > AssistiveTouch (On) > Custom Actions > Double Tap > Lock Screen

It gives you a little round screen button that you can adjust opacity. I have a single tap setup on all my devices top center of screen. It gets in the way sometimes but on my cockpit iPad Air 3 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), it's very convenient to be able to tap once and Lock Screen.

I have that set on my iPhone also, does double tapping the back logo to lock screen work on the iPad also?
