I'm not sure if this is even possible, but my family is on a shared celluar data plan and I was thinking that it would be nice to have a way to track everyone's data usage daily. We're on Xfinity Mobile and the app/widget shows everyone's cumulative usage for the billing period and it's updated every 6 hours or so.

I was thinking that having my iPhone take a screenshot of the widget every morning at like 7AM would allow me to track each day's usage so that I can better plan out if I have to switch one of my kids over to unlimited for the month.

Is this possible using Shortcuts?

Thanks.

You can take a screenshot via a shortcut but I didn’t see a way to trigger it each day at a certain time.

Why not just do it manually? It takes 1 second.

Yeah, manually would be fine, except I often forget to do it. It could be days before I remember to take a screen shot, so there are gaps in the data.

Maybe I'll just set an daily alarm reminder.

I haven't tried it myself, but I'm sure you could teach Shortcuts to do it.

Yeah. That’s what I’m trying to do, but I’m not really good at programming. And Shortcuts is hella confusing.
First create your shortcut. Then create a Shortcut automation and select Time of Day. Fill in the time you want the shortcut to run. Select “Next”, add an action Run Shortcut. Select the shortcut you created. Select “Done”.
