I have a MBP and would like to use a bootable, OSX loaded external drive to install windows 7 via bootcamp. Is this possible? If so how?

Thank you!

Bootcamp only works on the internal boot drive. There are ways to do it on external, but it is way complicated and I wouldn't try it myself.

not really that difficult use CarbonCopyCloner to clone your current windows partition HDD to your external.. then take the partition out of your main drive when SL comes around.

pretty easy

CCC doesn't copy windows partitions... Aside from that there are all sorts of other problems when it comes to booting windows from an external that require modifying some boot parameters inside files within the installation CD itself.
