This may have been asked before, but I didn't find it. Is it possible to just play a DVD on your computer and have it streamed wirelessly to AppleTV?
I don't much see the point in ripping my entire DVD collection to my laptop (nor would it come close to fitting). It would be great if Apple would allow you to just play a movie on your mac and have it mirrored on appletv.
This is an attractive option for me b/c AppleTV is small enough to slide behind my plasma that is wall-mounted downstairs. I don't want to connect a traditional DVD player because of hiding the wires (and the player for that matter). I realize they make some pretty small, cheap DVD players, but I would prefer AppleTV.
Any chance this can every happen with a software upgrade to AppleTV (and I guess DVD player on mac)? I don't suppose there is a 3rd party app that will allow me to do this?

TV... they aren't expensive nor does it have to be a fancy. Just a working dvd player. It would certainly fit?
