i am currently rippin a movie using handbrake on my imac g5.

question:

if i had another external drive could i rip another?

also i currently have the stock 256mb of ram...how much faster would it be with 1.25gb of ram to rip a movie?

Just put it this way, Handbrake runs in nice mode, which means it ramps your CPU up to 100%, but if another program wants the CPU it gives it up but still keeps going with what it can. You can just make another copy of the Handbrake app, just click on the Handbrake icon, hit Option + C, then Option + V and you should see a Handbrake Copy right next to your regular Handbrake app. Both run independantly. But you will need more RAM than 256. And it will take your computer twice as long to rip both at the same time.
