Hello! So at the moment I run a late 2015 27" iMac and a Late 2013 27" iMac

I am visually impaired and need very large text to see the screen. I use the zoom feature in OS X and also run my screen res at the lowest setting but screen real-estate is bad since I need the text so big.

I was having a look on Amazon and noticed some 40"-42" monitors (not TVs) selling for 500-800 and was wondering, Could I connect one of these to either Mac and run them at a lower resolution? Since the monitor is much larger, I should have more screen real-estate then I do on my 27" screen.

I am just curious if anyone has done this and if its possible.

Any feedback or help would be great, Thanks
