is it possible to stream from original aTV to new Apple TV

I still have my original apple tv and was wondering if it is possible to have my new apple tv recognize it as a computer and stream from it? Ideally i would like to connect it to an external hard drive and move most of my media to it, then use it as my main streaming source for the new apple tv's. this would allow me to free up a ton of space on my computers and not have to keep them on all the time. Thanks

By default no. You'd have to install a full version of Leopard onto the Apple TV for that to work.
