Hello,

I have been reading contrasting views on whether an iMac 27" late 2015 can be used as display to MBP 16.

I am planning on getting a 16" MBP, but when sitting at my desk, I want to use my 27" as the display screen to my MBP.

Is it possible to do it?

Can I do it in both scenarios:
1) Both machines using latest Mac OS.
2) both machines running Windows 10 on bootcamp. (As I use some legacy softwares which can be run only on windows)

Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

No iMac 5K can be used as an external monitor. Apple had to develop a custom timing controller to drive the 5K display at 60Hz and that ended Target Display Mode.

None of the iMacs built after 2015 support Target Display Mode, even the 1080 models.
