Is it possible to use itrip fm transmitter with BBC iplayer?

Title says it all really, would like to watch BBC but not use headphones. Just tried andcould not get any sound out of itrip. Can play music and vidoes from touch with no problems, just seems you be BBC iplayer that has the problem.
