Actually, yes, it is possible, but you'll need to permanently remove the logic board and optical drive to fit it in, so it's not probably the solution you're looking for.

That is what I'm thinking of doing actually. I plan on picking up a Lacie 500 GB external drive (the one that fits nicey under the Mac Mini) and install Leopard on that drive. Then, if all goes according to plan, use the internal hard-drive in the mini as a time-machine backup location. Its kind of backwards...
