Is it possible that you cannot easily customise swipe functions in Apple Mail ? I want to add "Move to Junk" swipe function there (that I would use all the time). But unlike for example Airmail seems not possible. Such an easy basic function to customise swipe. Instead of it we have completely useless default swipe function "Mark as Unread" - which is just unusable nonsense ...

I can understand wanting to have a one move option. I find swipe to Move and then simply tapping on the folder (including Junk) to be pretty easy though. Mark as Unread may not be useful to you, but is useful for some use cases.

I would say that "move to junk" by one movement would be just natural. I wonder why Apple cannot make such a trivial thing - to let the user decide which function he wants to assign to the left and right swipe. As for "mark as unread" - if you already read something, to mark is as "unread" is a bit weird ;)

Actually, most my family members and friends 1) read a mail, 2) decide that they can't act on it at the moment, 3) marks it as unread, 4) goes through unread mails later when they can act on them.

As to your first question, no unfortunately it's not possible. It used to be possible some years ago though.
If you move a lot of mails to junk, I'd suggest A) use the built-in keyboard shortcut, or 2) use a "move to junk" icon in the toolbar.

Well, if you "read a mail", then it cannot be "unread" after that (that does not make sense within the basic logic), but rather "marked", "starred" etc. ;)
