I just got my new Macbook and I wonder if it would be safe to clean the dust off the keyboard with this tiny handheld vacuum cleaner:

It has an attachable brush and doesn't leave any scratches.

I use it to clean my guitars and (musical) keyboards and other surfaces. Works really well. However I have read that vacuums can damage electronic devices because of ESD (electrostatic discharge). Can anybody comment on this?

I used to just blow or wipe off the dust but the problem with that is that it causes some dust particles to actually get underneath the keys while a vacuum can help get them out.

Hi!
It should be fine as long as you clean it from a distance. ESD in a vacuum cleaner is not powerful enough.
Hope that helps!
