Is it safe to delete "/Library/Updates" folder content?

I keep getting an error when trying to download the latest Catalina updates (Security Update 2021-002 10.15.7 and Safari 14.1).
Is it safe to delete the content of the /Library/Updates folder to try to solve this issue?

Do not delete the /Library/Updates folder, only their contents
And it is safe
