Hi,

I heard about the possibility of installing and booting the Apple TV OS on your Intel powered Macintosh Computer or Laptop.

Is this a safe thing to do? I assume it is, since it's just sofware, and if it does not work it will simply not work.

I ordered a MBP SR, maybe it is worth a try or is there a chance of wrecking the baby?

Thanks in advance for the tips!

No the apple TV OS definitely wont boot on a MBP.

The best thing to do is just install the files necessary to run the Apple TV interface on your MBP. There are several websites around that tell you what you need to do. I had it running on my MAC MINI in a matter of 15 minutes.

Here are instructions to replace Front Row with the appleTV (Back Row) interface. Backup your computer before trying it out :)
