Then create a new vol and install macOS there ?

I noticed this when I clean installed Big Sur, That you can click the '-' to remove the entire volume.

There is also a reason I am doing this and it's because I want to delete every single thing in my SSD even the past security updates and supplement updates.

I think one of them bricked my MBP 2018 battery, making it drains a lot faster then before.

My battery now dies in about 6-7 hours.

Thanks for answering.

Perfectly safe (if your data is backed up, obviously) - just go into recovery mode, either via cmd-R or by booting into a bootable installer, and erase the drive at the top level in "Show All Devices" view.

It won't actually erase the hidden firmware volume, though, and won't fix anything about your battery life if it truly came over in the security update, as a lot of older MBPs have experienced this year. Your current BootROM and SMC version will never roll back even if you go back to the earliest OS available.

So some other MBP really effected by security updates that made the battery worse ?

And Apple still didn't do anything about this.

Is there any fix for that ?

Well, I shouldn't have actually brought up that point if I had read your OP more closely.

I was bringing up the issue others have had with higher battery drain during sleep. My mind went there because the subject was SMC, but you present your issue as being with battery drain overall, not during sleep. I was a few drinks in.

But my other point about SMC and BootROM not rolling back even if you nuke the drive is still the same.

What is your cycle count? Have you already tried resetting SMC?

cycle count is at 215, and I also tried resetting SMC and NVRAM too.
My cycle count could be much higher than 215, Maybe at 300 if I hadn't plugged the power a lot.
Since that issue happened I now plug the power for about 2 weeks long then let it rest for one cycle count.

And I actually did experience fast draining when sleeping at first but now it's better.

When watching a video or even browsing the internet for just 45 minutes the battery drains 11-13%.
