Im worried about my macbook looking all yellow and terrible one year from now.

This topic is something that hasn't been brought up in a long time. I'm curious if the new macbooks are more resistant to stains.

It makes me think I should of gotten the black macbook. if it meant stain free.

The staining issue was fixed last year, I would have thought any new macbooks would be fine.

Mine had the issue (it's the very first generation) and had the casing replaced, it hasn't come back since.

My "late 2006" MacBook (C2D 2GHz, 1GB of RAM, SuperDrive, 80GB HDD) had issues with discoloration.

That was one of the reasons it was replaced. The SuperDrive died, then the repair center Apple hired scratched it, botched it, and somehow made the SuperDrive worse.

My current "Early 2007" MacBook (pre-SR, 2.16GHz, blah blah blah) hasn't had any discoloration issues yet.

But that could be just because I don't use it. I've "gone back" to Windows.
