Is it safe to update firmware to 2.0 yet on my 1G iPhone?

Hello everyone! I have jailbroken a first generation iPhone a while ago, but was wondering if it was all right to finally update my 1.1.4 firmware to 2.0 yet? I don't want to screw anything up.

Umm...

not only safe-highly recommended-you are missing a world of Apple Apps-My 2nd hand 2G 4GB works FINE with 2.1 and t-Mobile.
