Is it safe to restore an M3 MBP using Apple Configurator 2.16 on a 2017 MBP?
The reason I ask is because Apple Configurator 2.17 is currently the latest version; but I'm unable to install that version since it requires Sonoma, which the 2017 MBP doesn't support. I believe Apple Configurator 2.17 was released around the same time the new M3 Macs were released. The release notes for 2.17 also states: "Support for new devices".
I'm guessing if it's not supported, it'll let me know? Has anyone restored an M3 Mac using Apple Configurator 2.16?
