is it safe to use itunes 2.0 upgrade on jailbroken 1.1.4?

i.e. Can I just use the itunes upgrade directly, or do you need to do a restore to get back to a non-jailbroken state before attempting the upgrade?

Im not bothered about loosing jailbroken apps etc - just want to get to a non-jailbroken 2.0.2 install without loosing contacts, mail settings, etc etc as these are not on my mac.

yep you can upgrade from iTunes.

Make sure you do a backup in Itunes first then update.
