I used Mac Booster since previous OS version and now Catalina. Today when boot my machine, a pop-up windows says "MBHelpToolerDaemon"will damage your computer!" What does this mean? should I remove this app?

You've downloaded malware. The macOS system doesn't contain a prompt like that.

MacBooster is the Malware... and your Gatekeeper may have updated it's list. Ergo, it now recognises the app as bad... Malwarebytes is your friend...

The free version should be able to fix it and it is SAFE to use.

I don't know if MacBooster is malware (it probably is adware at the least), but it is absolutely a waste of money. It does absolutely nothing that isn't already built into the system... with the exception of a virus scanner—which is still largely unnecessary on the Mac. Yes, I know viruses exist for the macOS, but there hasn't been one of any size or consequence in the wild since the pre-Mac OS X days.

installing Malwarebytes is a mistake as well, as it's no better than MacBooster. You would simply be trading one piece of junk rip-off for another.

Learn how the OS works, learn where it installs software and learn how to avoid the problems in the future... you'll save yourself a whole lot of time, grief, and money. Daemon files are fairly easy to remove yourself, I would help you but I don't have MacBooster installed, so I don't know exactly what it installs and where.

I disagree with your statement about Malwarebytes... It is not malware, nor adware. But it will assist in removing MacBooster.

OP may not want, nor have the time to learn the intricacies of macOS. Yes, knowing your system and how it installs is beneficial. But not everyone wants that.

I offered a quick and safe method of removing MacBooster.

I don't really care if you disagree. I double-dog disagree with your disagreement!

But it will assist in removing MacBooster.
So will dragging the app to the Trash with a simple, free app like MacCleaner already installed. Or, you know, doing a simple search on your drive to find the files and dragging them to the trash without installing anything at all. I never claimed MWB wouldn't assist in removing MacBooster... It's one of probably dozens of possible ways to accomplish the task.

Or you know, MAYBE some people DO. You don't know what the OP may or may not want, because he himself may not even be aware that he can do this without installing yet more software. And quite frankly, the entire point of forum discussion is so that everyone who reads it can benefit from the responses, not just the OP.

Congrats! So did I. Do we get a prize for offering similarly goodly answers?
