I am ready to buy an iphone for my wife and myself but I am conflicted. I read a post about 2 weeks ago that said there is talk of a $99 8gb 3gs iphone coming out for the holidays. So far no updates to confirm nor refute. I am afraid to buy now for fear they will announce the reduced model. I thought there would be more defined rumor or confirmation now that we are a week from Thanksgiving. I would be interested in your thoughts and what you have heard.

Well, as most on here predicted, those prices weren't going to happen. The 8GB 3G is $99 and AT&T is now offering the 16GB 3GS at $149.

I doubt there is going to be another phone released for the holiday. But no one knows for sure. I think that there will be a new phone released in june/july for sure though.
Thank you both for your quick replys. It helps me lot. I think I may go with the refurb 3gs for $149 and save a little money since it seems they are in good working condition. Although I have to find out if I can use my company discount on a refurb phone.
