So when I bought my iPad I really didn't think I would have any need for the 3G version.. But with all of the anticipation and other posts I have read, this really would be amazing if I could just bring it everywhere with me and not have to worry about finding hotspots or anything..

So what I'm asking is, is it too late to return it? I bought it at an apple store on the 5th. It is the 32 gig version. And came out to $646.92 with tax. Yes I have used it every day. And it does have 2 VERY SMALL scratches on the back. But does apple look at these types of things? Will there be a restocking fee? How much? Is there ANY way to get around the typical return policy, or these restocking fees??

OR I could go the route of selling it on ebay. Is there still high enough demand for these, even used. I would really like to get back at least what I paid for it (with tax). Has anyone sold their iPad on ebay? Is it complicated to ship intentionally?

Please help me out on this one. Sorry if I'm double posting or anything like that, but these questions have been building up and the thought of the 3G version is just sounding more and more tempting. Any ideas??:confused::confused:

Not sure about Apple's return policy but I'm sure you'll have no problem selling yours ;)

You have 14 days. 10% restock fee. But IMO, not cool to return it if it's scratched anyway...

Thanks everyone for the fast responses, I guess I'll check into putting it on eBay. Does anyone have experience with international shipping? Is it complicated? Expensive? Long?

International shipping is alittle more paperwork, and more risk is involved than shipping domestic. When you do sell it on ebay, do not label it as a gift to save the person on import taxes. State that in the auction. If you ship it out the cheap way, ie, no insurance or signature, what if the buyer says you never sent it, or received it but it wasn't what was he bidded on. He will dispute charges and you'll have to claim insurance. All it will say when you are claiming insurance is that it was a gift valued at 30 dollars. Guess what, that's all they'll give you (the post office). Just be sure to ship it out express, w/ insurance and mark it for full value, make sure signature is required whatever you do. Good luck in your sale. :)

32GB will sell for a LOT more than what you paid for it if you ship internationally! 2 scratches may not be a problem if you take a clear picture of it

Thank you so much for all of this info. Here is the eBay link so far, I'll try to make some of those changes you mentioned. Especially insurance.
