i've had the iphone 7 for a bit, but dont get me wrong its an amazing phone. however the camera isnt as good as today's ones, no wide/ultra wide, telephoto or just better quality. the left stereo speaker is a tiny bit higher pitched for some reason, it can be noticeable in some cases, and the bezels are kind of annoying too. i also like the idea of face id, and not having to do a fingerprint scan which works 1/3 of the time.

tl;dr should i switch from iphone 7 to 12 pro

iPhone 12 is not even out. Yet And may even be delay now if you mean iPhone 11 Pro then yes I think it will be a great upgrade over the iPhone 7 you have now

Both the iPhone 11 Pro and whatever the Pro version of the 12 will be are going to be huge improvements over your current phone.

It’s time.

If you can wait till October for the 12 or even 7 to 11 Pro.

It will be a night and day difference with facial recognition, edge to edge display (minus notch), better audio, faster chip, better camera and night mode. You’ll fall into a nightingale effect for a while it’ll be so worthy of an upgrade from where your at.

IMO anything after 3yrs is a good time to upgrade. Beyond that the upgrade just gets better. Dealing with an older phone for longer is the downside.

I’d wait for the 13 pro super plus.

It's not worth it all. There is no price to pay and you get nothing for it in return. I'd stick with the 7 till there is a price you can pay and a phone to get.

Yeah, 11 pro max got a huge battery upgrade but they neglected memory. This time I’m expecting a huge boost in memory with 8 or 12 gb.

Absolutely not.

As the iPhone 12 Pro doesn’t exist I wouldn’t buy it, it’s definitely a knockoff with Android OS running on it. I bet the AppleCare+ isn’t even real either.

I’m going to switch over to Apple once the 12 is released. I haven’t been with Apple since the 5 came out. After that, I went to Samsung. I have the Note 9 for the past almost two years now. I’ve been itching for a new phone and I finally decided to go back to Apple (I’m Apple everywhere else, just not the phone). I figured I’d wait for the new one since it makes more sense for me. For one, I am saving up money to buy the phone out right and by the time the new one is released, I’d have it ready. It doesn’t make sense for me to buy the 11 Pro Max now since I know a new one will be coming out in the Fall. I plan on keeping the phone for a couple of years, so I might as well wait. If your phone is still working fine for the time being, I would recommend you wait. It’ll be the better option - whether you go for the new one or for a cheaper 11 Pro/Max. Either way, it’s all up to you!

Definitely not worth the $$$ when it's not even announced yet. Wait till September and only then you can decide if it's worth your $$$.

It’s a no brainer. Is a 2020 Mercedes better than the same 2010 model? Yes, of course. It will look different perhaps and have slightly more options than its older predecessor but at the same time it will have the exact same common denominator that all iPhones have had since the original iPhone: a touchscreen device that can make phone calls, send texts, email, web browsing, social media etc.
In other words it will take you like a car from A to B.

Now please stop these threads and let me enjoy my bloody latest and best iPhone 11 Pro Max for another year. I still haven’t paid it in full lol.

A delay is not going to change anything with the iPhone 12. Look at the iPhone X when it launched in 2017, Apple didn’t even launch the X until the end of November. The longest we would probably see a delay for the iPhone 12 would maybe be two months at the most, Apple had plenty of time to build supply/strengthen inventory.

Definitely pre-order

yeah i know but i mean like when it is released, should i buy

How do you expect people to know specifics about an unreleased product? Just wait until it gets released, then buy it unlocked and test it yourself within the return period.
