So I have a iPhone 32GB 3GS that is currently running 3.1 so I dont even know if I could jailbreak it but would it be worth it when I can? Back when I had a iPhone 2G when they first came out, I jailbroke it and loved it. What do you guys think? What are the current pros and cons of the 3GS jailbreak?

It would be worth jailbreaking the 3Gs given the improved RAM and Camera capabilities.

YES!!! perfectly worth it.. i have a 32 gig jailbroken with backgrounder running apps in the back (which does run your battery down so use only when neccessary).. winterboard themes.. categories, stacks... but its definatly worth it..

i hate when people say stuff like a simple search could've answered your question.. ok so what theirs multiple threads about the same topic... if its a thread talking about a topic that you have already read before well then Y ARE YOU READING IT AGAIN???

To give them an answer to a question that has been asked many times.

You would have known that if you bothered to search.

To be fair, it's not backgrounder that kills the battery. It's just that you usually background something that is using the GPS or 3G connection. For instance, I walk with RunTracker in the background. Sometimes I run Pandora in the background. I'm sure there are plenty more examples.

If you can wait for 3.1 to be jailbroke then jailbreak at all costs. Is it worth it? Yes, with 2X the speed, whatever lag you think there might be the 3GS will definitely still be fast. I haven't noticed the lag that the 3G or v1 iPhone had. Multi-themes, backgrounder, PDAnet, icon changes, ssh, even a variety of ringtones got me hooked....:p:p:p
