That depends on whether ML has any features that you want or need. It's not only about iPhone or iPad users.

Do you already have a Mac? If so, what OS is it on right now? It all depends on you to know if ML is worth it or not. Look at it's feature sets and see if it has what you're looking for or interested in. As far as the price goes, if you're already using Lion, the upgrade is quite inexpensive at $19.99.

I have an MBP and I have Snow Leopard on it.. I've been reading up on ML but all I see is better integration between OS and devices...

What benefits would I get out of it?

For someone who's already using Lion, I would say it is worth the $20. It provides a lot of polish and smoothness to Lion, in addition to adding some nice features (I think the Notification center is pretty neat and it's working well for quickly checking mail messages without reading the whole message).

If you're still at Snow Leopard, that would be a tougher call. Snow Leopard is a great OS and if you don't need any of the new features and don't have an iOS device, it's a harder sell.

There is a part of me that wished I stayed on Snow Leopard. But now that I'm on Lion, it's too much trouble to go back, so I'll move forward with Mountain Lion.

Had I stayed on Snow Leopard, I'd probably continue to stay there even with Mountain Lion out now.

Dictation alone is the must have feature in Mountain Lion for me. I'm already loving being able to send emails, make lists, surf the web, etc. without typing.

Notification Center will be nice but right now it's buggy and not all apps work with it.

Haven't spent a lot of time yet on anything else.

I have noticed though that the Display Preferences keep resetting to Best For Display, which is not the native resolution of my monitor, and it's annoying. I'm on a Mac Mini, so I don't have two GPU's like some of the newer Mac laptops. Not sure why this is what it is, but I'm sure it will be fixed shortly.

BTW, if anyone is using Growl, go install Hiss. It forces Growl to use Notification Center.
