Hi:

I have a 2021 14 inch MacBook Pro 16 GB of memory.

Is it worth it to change it to an Airbook M2 15 inches?

Pros and cons please, I appreciate your input and thanks in advance!

New is always nice and exciting... but buy what you need when you need it.

If what you have is currently meeting your needs, stand pat. Save your money for future purchases.

Remember, regardless of what you buy and when you buy it, there will always be a newer, shinier and more exciting version just over the horizon.

For stupid work (LOL), traveling and playing a couple of games. Thought the 15 had a bigger screen and was lighter.

Look at the differences between the screens and the size/weight:

NO !!!

Keep the MacBook Pro 14"
It's just "better all around", except for the 1" of screen space.

I suggest that whenever Apple comes out with a new notebook that is better than the one you have, just buy it. This means buying maybe three computers every year, but this is the ONLY way to keep up and never worry that you don't have the "best".

Remember Steve Jobs? He had a standing order at the car dealership that every six months they were to deliver a new car to his house and take the "old" car away. Perhaps you can order a computer on a subscription?

But Steve was a billionaire, and cars were less than "pocket change" to him.

If you are rich enough, just buy every new computer. But if you aren't then you have to ask yourself. What problem is my current computer causing for me and what new computer will address this problem? In my case I use some 3D CAD software, and it required a version of macOS that would not install on my Mac. So I had to replace the computer. I had a problem and the new computer fixed it.

I'd keep your 14" MBP - I think the screen alone makes it worth holding onto. I ended up choosing a 13" MBA over the MBP because of size and weight, but the 15" kind of negates any advantage there. And although I love my Air, I'm finding myself increasingly longing for a 120Hz display.

LOL, My grandfather did almost the same, they would deliver the first car that hit one of the biggest dealerships in the Caribbean (Specifically DR) every year, sometimes every nine months.

Money would be no object I just really wanted to know how good the Airbook was and if it was lighter. But I am going to hold on to my 14 for a while after reading the suggestions and comments and I thank you all!
