I have an iPhone, in fact I'm typing this on it right now. I'm not using it as a phone, just an iPod/portable web device/toy. I have phone service with another company and I'm not really happy with them or my razr but its about $40 for unlimited minutes so its a great deal and I love not counting minutes.

Im not interested in edge service so im looking at at&t and tmobiles other plans. I have done activation and jailbreaking on 1.1.1, but i don't know about sim unlocking. Is it difficult enough that you would tell me not to bother, or is it fairly simple, like activating and jailbreaking and i would do well to switch services and phones.

Just go with AT&T first. You have 14 days to cancel and not pay any fees. That's the law. But with 3rd party support coming to the iPhone, there seems to be not a really good reason to unlock, other than international travel.

As far as the unlimited minutes go, I switched from another carrier with a great plan and was worried about minutes with the iPhone, but after 3 months of accumulating Roll Over minutes, I no longer worry about the minutes at all anymore.
