With Apple killing off iTunes Radio, is iTunes Match next?
I am an iTunes Match subscriber and I worry with Apple killing off iTunes Radio, they will want to do the same to iTunes Match to bolster the number of Apple Music subscriber.
What do you think?

They are not killing off iTunes Radio but are ending the free ad-supported stations and removing the ad-free perk for iTunes Match subscribers. Apple Ending Ad-Supported iTunes Radio Stations at End of January. The stations will still be available for Apple Music subscribers.

If iTunes Match does get the chop Apple will lose income from me as I will not be subscribing to Apple Music.

I made more use of iTunes Radio than I did of iTunes Match (ad-free radio for $2/month worked for me). It was my preferred way to find new music that aligned with my tastes. Apple Music at 5X the price does not seem appealing.

I don't subscribe to Apple Music, although it was useful during the trial just not that useful for me. I do love iTunes Match though. It's how I stream all my music. It's integrated and works with CarPlay and Siri. I'd be just a little pissed if they got rid of it.

Nooo!!... I like my chopping block... i mean iTunes Match.

it would force users to pay a higher price. then just $25 per year instead of $120 a year ($9.95 a month).

However, that being said, I can never get iTunes Match *and* Apple music working together.... it seems iTunes match looses the ability "to listen to the audio" to accurately match songs....

When I use iTunes match as a standalone service it seemed allot smarter than... Now, when its paired with :apple:Music, it doesn't work at all well.

I've head several songs i know which are on the Store, because i've searched for them... however when i acquire the same song then try and match it up, it won't .....

I'd be pissed as well. Google Music has a similar free option that I would be forced to switch too. The less I use Apple's ecosystem the less inclined I will be to "have to" buy their devices. Would be a bad move imo.
