While trying to find a remote desktop solution, I came across the Jump Desktop which was recommended in this forum many times.

However, while installing I noticed the licensing agreement is from United Arab Emirates, which is a bit weird. i remember the recent spy tool https://www.theverge.com/2019/12/23...ng-tool-surveillance-united-arab-emirates-uae

Since a remote administration tool is sensitive, i tried to find some information about the company. Could not find much information about them.

Just a mailbox from Dubai.

Then I found some other information from Panama but I'm not sure.

Any experiences, do you use this tool, what are your thoughts? Should I stay away?

I've interacted with their developers many times and they have always seemed on the up and up. I'm pleased with the tool and the pricing is much better than TeamViewer.

Interacted how? Using twitter or email? Or did you meet the guys during a tech conference?

Hi,

I'm one the developers working on Jump Desktop app. Not sure where you got the Panama address - thats completely incorrect. Phase Five Systems is incorporated in UAE, the team however is a small, distributed team working across the globe. I personally work out of Toronto, Canada. We've been on the App Store for more than 10+ years - even before the original iPad 1 came out (you can take look at our review history on the app store). Jump is the only app our company works on. Our servers are hosted in AWS in North America and relay servers distributed across the globe. We've always been a paid app on the app store and never collect, share or mine our customer's data. Our privacy policy is here: https://jumpdesktop.com/privacy. You can also see my personal comment history here: https://www.reddit.com/user/nonane2 .

If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer.

You're really better off using Microsoft or Google... both work great and are free.
The question was not whether the product works or how much it costs. In terms of privacy (which was the question), Google is at the bottom of the list. Their business model is centered around extracting user data and selling it to paying clients.

Thanks for chiming in. Since you're here, do you have any insight as to when iOS 13.4 will be supported (I mean in terms of trackpad use for scrolling/clicking etc etc)? Thanks!

No, privacy was not the question. The question was, and here is the quote:
"Any experiences, do you use this tool, what are your thoughts? Should I stay away?"

My answer was "my thoughts."

I'm well aware of what Google's business model is, thanks.
