And to max payne, it isn't great for games because its got something like a 14 ms response - it is good for video and photography becuase the color is spot on.

To be fair, even though it's not the fastest display on the market, *most* people can't notice a difference once the panels drop below 16ms response time. Sometimes hardcore FPS-ers will, or those with truly exceptional eyesight, but 14ms is fine for most people to play games on.
