Hey everyone,

I waited a few days to update to Sierra, but finally did it today on my 2015 Retina MacBook Pro.

I've made a habit over the past few years of switching between apps using mission control on the trackpad. Today when Sierra installed and booted, I opened up Chrome and Mail to go about my normal business. When I used the trackpad gesture for mission control, I couldn't help but notice that it is slower than in El Cap. Is that just how it is now in the new OS?

I guess it's not a big deal, but it was noticeable, to say the least.

It's now related to the speed you perform the gesture; it moves with your fingers, in effect. In fact you can move it in and out without completing the gesture.

Oh I see. I didn't realize that. Thanks for the help, I appreciate it.

It caught a lot of people out in the beta period. The good news is you can actually use it very quickly now, even faster than the old fixed speed animation.
