Is MobileMe Mail Reliable???

I'm using AOL mail with Apple's Mail.app and sometimes SMTP hangs up and says server not found. Very aggravating.

How's MobileMe mail holding up for ya'll?

Why pay for MobileMe if you're just looking for a more reliable mail service? GMail does just fine and it's free.
