Is mountain lion worth upgrading from my early 2011 MBP?

Hey guys, as you can currently see I'm a massive noob when it comes to my macbook pro, I had upgraded my mbp from snow leopard to lion osx and i find it lagging quite a lot. As I'm soon going to be upgrading to an 8gig ram (or a 16gig i haven't made up my mind if it is worth paying the extra load of cash) and a 240gig 6g SSD, I have no idea if it is better to upgrade to mountain lion or revert it to snow leopard. thanks

I find Mountain Lion to be so much smoother and less buggy. Upgrade!

I have a 2010 macbook pro that originally shipped with Snow Leopard, i updated to Lion and when Mountain Lion came out to that too. I think Mountain Lion is much better and faster. Also i've done no upgrades on it store nor memory. It's still fast after 30 months.
