I have a feeling that my Apple TV is being a little slow with syncing. When I have WPA2 on it takes about 1 minute per song, but when I disable security it takes about 2 seconds per song a huge increase.

Is 2 seconds per song a slow syncing speed?

I am using a Draytek Vigor Router (b/g)

If this is slow does anyone have an idea how to make it faster. I think about buying an airport extreme to make it work better, but if 2 seconds per song is a nice speed I won't bother.

Thanks in advance

Yeah already dit that, seem to be getting a speed around 1.5 mb/s is that a nice speed?

Okay I just updated to 2.8 Draytek Firmware (2700G). What I notice is that the connection is very good, it no longer disconnects. But the speed is horrible! It dropped from 1,5 mbps to an average of 600 kb/s. Does someone know what can be the problem. I tried almost all avalaible channels, no difference. I do seem to get speed increases when I move the Apple TV around the room. Does anyone have a solution this sucks...

Do I have to buy an Airport Extreme to get this to work....

I get about 600~1.3ish on my linksys g router ... depending on network activity.

The only real cure would be to upgrade to n-only.

Hmm, that sucks...

My internet connection is faster than my wireless connection... So renting movies will only go half the speed :(

This is so weird. When I put my MacBook where my Apple TV is, it sometimes drops in speed and sometimes it doesn't. Does the MacBook have a better airportcard? Or do I have a broken Apple TV?
