The fact that it's just happening in Safari makes me feel like it's not a GPU issue. I think if your GPU was dying, you would notice issues in other aspects of the OS. Run a stress test or Cinebench or Luxmark or something and see if it crashes. That's how I diagnosed my bad GPUs, and I've had 2 within the last few months.

Yeah thats what i was thinking, although it happens after a fresh install so i don't think its a software thing :p

Yeah i'll run Cinebench when i'm home, cheers!

Which OS is that?

Keep in mind that Apple dropped support for 7300 and X1300 and X1900 in recent OSs.

I was in a "safe boot" recently and noted weirdness from Safari in 10.9.3. It relies on OpenGl and perhaps even OpenCl in Mav much more than it used to.

Looks like Lion to me. Might just be an odd Safari glitch. If it's really bugging you, maybe try a different browser. I can't imagine it's a video card issue if it's ONLY Safari.

This is super weird, tried running CineBench, would run the CPU test, but not OpenGL, said it couldn't find a graphics card….

Try OpenGl Extension Viewer

If it says "Software Renderer" it means no driver loaded for GPU

7300 is very early tech, may not be supported in many places anymore

safari malware?

Check your extensions - you may have malware

Go to the safari folder in your Library - archive folder Extensions
Delete the original Extensions folder
Restart Safari

Run better? -> get new extensions ONLY from Apple Safari page
NO? -> unarchive the Extensions.zip

This fixed my propel. A little worried about what happened. I should take it in to G Bar I suppose since the old extensions are in the zip file still.

I've started getting these weird Safari glitches, just did a fresh install and getting the exact same thing still.

Any ideas? if the 7300GT i'm still running on its way out?
