My WiFi iPad battery isn't lasting as long as my 3G model used too. On my 3G model with the exact same settings I was getting about an hour for every 10%. On my new iPad I'm getting just over 45 minutes, so thats just under 8 hours in total comapred to 10 hours on my 3G model which should be lower.

This isn't normal is it?

Caris...

You said it was new. Have you drained it fully and recharged it yet? Several posted the same 'problem' on the original launch...consensus was to drain battery fully and recharge. That cleared up a lot of the "less than an hour/10%" reports.

But, if not...check to see if you have left your bluetooth on...that can drain it a little quicker.

Well, I would make an apointment with the local Apple store.

Mine got 10+ hours after the first drain/charge cycle....and that was with everything on (WiFi and BT) and lot's of streaming apps.

Cheers and good luck...
