I can't seem to get a good gps lock. My ipad air 2 has perfect gps, turn by turn navigation, etc...but my iphone 6 always shows my location as like half a mile away from where i actually am

I've tried resetting all the settings, it doesn't seem to work.

Is my gps faulty or is this a known bug or something?

restore from backup

if that does not fix it, i would just take it back. sounds defective to me

hmm hmm hmm

try turning off wifi and remove the sim card
reboot

with wifi off and no way to connect to cellular, it should test the actual GPS chip
this may take 90 seconds or so to get a real gps lock
if the location is good, then maybe its guessing your location ( agps ) using bad info from your cell carrier or wifi networks

if you let it sit on that bad location for 5 minutes does it eventually get accurate info?

i turned off wifi, and ejected the sim and turned on the iPhone and it got my accurate location pretty quick, it might be cached so I'm gunna drive around to make sure the dot moves
