okay, i updated to 3.0, and i had some old .ipa from the 2.2.1 firmware, those are cracked.

so then i connected my phone to my laptop, synced it, and itunes told me some apps are not gona be added.

so okay. but i restarted my iPhone, and its stuck at the Apple screen for about 2 mins. then the rotating wheel appears and freezes up.

i put it into DFU and restored it, and now rejailbreaked it, its working fine now.

BUT I DONT HAVE A OFFICAL SIM, so how do i know if its bricked or not??

I don't have a offical sim card. So I'm waiting for the ultrasnow. My understanding of bricking is that the phone won't even recongnize the offical carrier? Correct me if I'm wrong. My worry is that the phone will stop functioning as a PHONE lol. Help much appriciated

"Bricked" means it has the functionality of a brick, ie. it does nothing and cannot be fixed. Your phone is not bricked :)

That's quite comforting to hear. So what bwould cause the phone to brick up? I read some horror stories about pple upping their phone from unlocked 1.1.0 or something like that. And bricking up on them. Phone still starts but won't recongnize any sim
