I only use Safari as my browser, so I didn't install Nitrous for chrome and other browsers. I only have it to speed up apps like Facebook and flipboard. Is this a safe tweak for my purposes, since I don't use it with chrome? Or is it still a security vulnerability that I should keep in mind?

If it were a security risk, your iPhone would still be vulnerable through Safari even without Nitrous.

I bought Nitrous today and it didn't seem to affect the speed of Safari and Chrome. I still get the same 1400ms in the Sunspider JS test with or without Nitrous on.

do you guys see a real noticeable result beside benchmark number? I use Atomic and want to see if its worth the cost. thanks

Did you enable it in settings? On the 5, Chrome gets around 869ms for me.

I have the iPad Mini so it's slower than the iPhone 5. I only have the Setting in the background and every other app taken off the multitasking menu. The lowest I can get is above 1400. It probably has more to do with the A5 processor on the iPad Mini.
