Is OpenSSH Broken on iPhone 4?

I keep having to reinstall OpenSSH to get it to work.

iMac:~ frank$ ssh root@xx.xx.xx.xx
ssh_exchange_identification: Connection closed by remote host
iMac:~ frank$

I go to cydia and reinstall openSSH and I can get in, no problem. After a few minutes, when I try and connect again I get the same "connection closed..." error. Am I the only one getting this?

Cyberduck gives me
I/O Error: Connection failed
sftp://root@xx.xx.xx.xx
Premature connection close.


Resetting network settings on the phone didn't work, rebooting router didn't work, using a different router didn't work. Deleting keys didn't work. Reinstalling SSL didn't work. Is this a known issue?

openSSH with CyberDuck works flawlessly for me. The only thing I have to make sure is the phone doesn't go to sleep, since it switches back to 3G. I also have a way to get in via USB however.
 
Cyberduck wont let me connect using root/alpine.
What should I do from here? I have all the prerequisites I am sure, everything turned on, correct spacing, cases, no extra characters, etc.

Tried it about a dozen times, and nothing .

Having this issue as well - did you find the fix?
 
getting same error here.. Nothing seems to work to get in with SSH...

I had similar problems, but found I had to reset my wireless router. That fixed it, it happened again a couple of days later, reset it again, and it's been fine since.
Worth a try I think... Hope it helps!
 
Nah the issue was some sort of ikey worm..

I deleted 2 files i found the fix on here and it started working right away.
 
I restored my phone, set it up from scratch and re-jailbroke and it works fine now.
 
Here ya go;

I had the same problem. Found this and it fixed the timeout issue right away:

Delete this files: (I used iFile
/ System / Library / LaunchDaemons / com.ikey.bbot.plist
/ Bin / poc-bbot

I too can Never connect to my phone through ssh on my Mac, using cyberduck.

It worked for awhile, but was very temperamental so I reinstalled and it worked once then I get the said I/O
connection failed. I gave up on ssh and now use iPhone explorer.

The crappy thing is always having a iPod cable when I'm not home. Buying about 10 off eBay solved that issue, now I have them coming out my arse.

Edit: I deleted those files, I will post my results tonight.
