I wouldn't install realplayer myself. It is MAJOR spyware - it'll even go to the point of searching for CC#s and such. And it's in their EULA, so when you hit agree, you agree to them doing that.

i'm sorry, but that's complete FUD. it doesn't say that realplayer will go look for CC# anywhere on EULA. the only reference to anything personal is communicating your personal ID you provide when you download.
I think that was a reference to the jukebox software that runs on Windows. It was found to be constantly in communication with RealNetworks. RealPlayer was examined and was found to be clean.
I hate REAL even more than MS. Can't really explain why. I resent the difficulty the put you through to download the free player and (in windows, at least, which I have to use at work) it is always popping up and trying to get you to do things.
Maria Cantwell's politics also bug me, but that's a purely personal thing.
