Is remember playback position working for anyone?

I have a collection of very long mp3s. I used to be able to check off the remember playback position in iTunes, and come and go to that mp3 file and pickup where I left off.

That no longer works. I can check off the remember playback position, but it now always restarts at the beginning.

I can change the files to audio books, and then it remembers where I left off, but it’s cumbersome.

It doesn't seem to work for me either. I set to remember playback position on my desktop and it works there but when the files are transferred to my phone they always restart at the beginning.

I reinstalled iTunes. Still didn’t help.
