Every time I have visited Facebook it has always been the desktop version. Recently, it always pulls up the ugly mobile version and it's really annoying! I have tried clearing my cache and nothing is helping. Has this happened to anyone else?

Note: I realize that the app store browsers would show it fine but I prefer the safari browser at this point because of it's bookmark bar.

Same thing just happened to me using Safari.

I went to the address bar and deleted the m. and the normal full page came up.

Click on my bookmark though and it brings up the mobile version again.

Not sure whats going on....?

iPad and facebook

Everytime I log onto Facebook with the iPad it goes to the mobile version. I have had the iPad for two weeks and this never happened before.

How do you stop this?

You Internet noobs crack me up.

Facebook knows you are using iPhone/ipad Safari and decided to direct you to their mobile site. Not much you can do except complain to FB.

I am experiencing the same problem, even if I remove the m, after a couple pages it does come back.

A lot of trolls really here..

I am also experiencing this today. I am facebooking always on safari ipad and it was really nice.. Its like a hybrid version of desktop and mobile. But now it is purely mobile.

The only solution for now is hit the desktop version

browsers have the ability to identify themselves to web servers. The web server can then be instructed to redirect as they see fit. The problem is, despite 2mm iPad sales, not enough web developers know, the iPad can handle a full web page, so they direct to mobile site.

There isn't much you can do but complain???? Uhhhh get atomic a1 or icab and change what the browser identifies itself as....really isn't that complicated guys.

Except for the past two months it has directed it us to the full site, until tonight. Read the post.
