I see Apple just sprung 6.1.1 Beta onto developers, no doubt closing the 6.1 jailbreaking routine.

My 4S is already jailbroken. Is it safe to save SHSH blobs from my jailbroken phone? Or does it have to be on the official 6.1 unjailbroken iOS in order for it to work - IF one day they figure out how to do restores for it.

Just wondering. I never saved them before jailbreaking, that's why I was wondering. If it mattered or not. Thanks.

The ONLY reason to save them is for jailbreaking.

I know. I was wondering if you had to run TinyUmbrella on an official iOS to save the blogs, or if you can run them on a jailbroken one, so long as it's still 6.1.

In other words, do I have to restore back to official 6.1 first THEN save the SHSH blobs? Or can I still do it on Jailbroken 6.1?

Just trying to avoid the restore process to save my SHSH blobs. But if I must restore first, I will.

Thanks.

You dont need to be on 6.1 to save blobs for 6.1
You can be on 5.0.1 and still save your 6.1 shsh blobs.
You dont need to restore or update in order to save them.

Or to restore to older firmware version not signed by apple any more;)
