Hey folks. I have an iMac with Intel Core 2 Duo running Leopard. I borrowed my buddy's Snow Leopard OSX installation disk, he has a Mac Pro. Are the operating systems different?

The installation disk is not loading for me. I just get a message saying that OSX 10.6 can not be installed on this computer.

Any thoughts on what is going on? I have plenty of space and the disk checks out ok on disk utility. I'm kind of stumped here. Thanks.
Don

The grey restore DVD shipped with Macs are locked to that specific Mac model to prevent this sort of casual piracy.

Really? Didn't know this, thanks. I fully intend to buy Lion, but it is only going to be offerred through the App Store. I didn't want to buy Snow Leopard and then have to buy Lion also.
