Hello,
I used to have an android phone and it has texts and such on it.
then I got an iPhone andI have its backups but along the way some third-party utilityI had on my mac stopped the phone from being able to back up properly so I created a new iPhone

So currently I have a single physical iPhone with two sets of iPhone backups and one android backup and ideally I'd like to merge all the SMSes because they're all the same phone

is there a solution or multiple solutions to actually accomplish this?

Thanks

:/ figured id try
you never know what third-party Apps have been created
I see a lot for reading or extracting the texts but none that rebuild the database so you can "Fake"/merge texts into existing ones but I figured for someone smart enough that's probably possible, then again Apple seems to be encryption freaks so who knows how hard it is

Apple would never allow their messages app to be able to merge or import conversations from androids or other platforms.
They want people to backup and restore only by using their own strict Eco system.
So on stock ios you will never see something like that. On jb iPhone maybe it could be done if some dev puts in the time and work to make it happen.
Currently there isn't anything like that available on cydia.

Honestly it seems like the thing Apple would want to make a utility for
I would expect them having no problem importing conversations because then I am more invested in the Apple ecosystem.
I would never expect to see them doing export because that doesn't benefit their ecosystem

Yes, like you said it would be beneficial for people thinking about switching to iOS.
But then it would come with the headaches of trying to support dozens of different android versions, different manufacturers skins, windows mobile and it's different devices and versions.
Doubt they would ever bother getting into it and working on other phones to create a tool to migrate user data to iOS.
