Is Texting from Nexus 7/iPhone 5 combination possible?

Does anyone know if I can text using my Nexus 7 while connected to the same Wifi as my iPhone 5? Would love to use my real number if possible.

Any app recommendations?

I've got a Google Voice number but not sure if there is a better option.

I've been looking for this too. Only thing I've found was just android to android and nothing that connects the iPhone.

Text now or pinger both give you your own real number. The latter even gives you one in your own area code.
