I know aluminum is non-magnetic, and I assume that means that the new remotes won't stick to the side of the machine as the old plastic ones used to. For people with the new imacs who have the new remote, is that true?
Also, as a corollary, is a remote really necessary if you have the bluetooth keyboard? My 2005 G5 iMac has a remote, but I rarely use it outside of watching DVD's. As the keyboard has media controls already assigned to the F keys, is it possible to just keep it on the coffee table?
Thanks in advance for your help!
