What she said. I'm with Sprint, and mobile TV comes with the Everything data plan. They've cut the number of free channels down, but even now, you can get ESPN & the NFL Network live on any Sprint smartphone.

I use a Slingbox at home with the app for the iPhone. I like it because all of the costs are fixed (no monthly fees). You're controlling whatever you have at home so it's all the channels you have from cable, satellite, or whatever. You can even connect cameras to it if you need to need to check a security cam while traveling.

I live on Long Island, and don't have the NFL Network. When I had Sprint, I used to watch the NFL Network. How messed up is that, can't get the channel on my cable network, but had it on my phone, lol. I wish mobitv had the NFL Network for the iphone app.

I'd also recommend sling box

Slingbox is great, but if one doesn't have the upfront cash ($175 for the box + 29.99 fo rthe app) this app,MobiTv is good. You can get a year for $49. Limited yes but if $ is a concern its a decent alternative.

MobiTV is complete junk. I suggest anybody interested just take a look a the abysmal reviews. $10 a month is horrible considering the laughable few channels you get. The interface is *HORRIBLE* and does not conform to ANY iphone UI standards at all.

Slingbox is better but ridiculously overpriced for what it does.

My best suggestion is for you to take an old, old computer, put a cheap tv tuner in it and run Orb. I put an old laptop in there running Orb and it barely draws 5w. Oh yeah, it cost me a grand total of $5 to setup. Not only can it stream Live TV, but also webcams and ALL media stored on your network.
