This is the second time this happened, I charge my phone to 100%, and overnight there is a massive drain, I check the battery usage and the app that drained the most battery is the App Store with audio? Really? I’m not sure if it’s a bug or if it’s just me. Please let me know if anyone else is also having this probalem with overnight app store drain!

Love the way folk create thread titles. Given that this is the first report I myself have seen on this I'd have thought a more reasonable title for the the thread would be something like "Unexpected overnight massive power drain from iOS App store".

Your current thread title of "Apple needs to fix the App Store battery drain issue on iOS 11" would signify that this is a known issue when it's very clearly not. Yes, there are sporadic reports of this (one here on MR regarding iOS 10) but that said, this is far from being a common issue.

Have you restarted your device since this started? If so, how about resseting it (optionally restoring from a backup).

Yes, after the first time this happened, I restarted my device but I did not reset it, this only happens when my device is not plugged in overnight, the first time I did not leave my device plugged in overnight my battery completely drained overnight because it was only charged about halfway, this time my phone was charged to 100% and the app store took a good chunk of half the battery (47%)

Only thing I can suggest short off the full reset is to make sure the app store isn't running when you hit the sack each night - in theory this should do it from running in the background but given that it's an Apple app my fear for you is that it may get woken up by the OS.

Are there any outstanding app updates it's got queued up?

There were 10 apps in the queue waiting to be updated, I had my automatic updates switched off.

Might want to get them all updated as well then, and limit the chances for the App store to have to handle much.

All this is grasping at straws I admit, however sadly that's all we really got right now. I suppose you might want to chat with Apple if you still have coverage under some form of warranty, but I've never had much luck with them myself, preferring normally to find a good brick wall to bash my head against (just as effective at solving problems but at least it feels I'm doing something)...:D
